What This Product Does
TP-LINK’s TL-WA830RE 300Mbps Wireless N Range Extender is designed to extend the coverage and improve the signal strength of an existing wireless network to eliminate “dead zones”. Combined with leading wireless N technologies, superior security and wider compatibility, TL-WA830RE makes it a secure high speed solution that can help you keep an existing wireless network unchanged and vastly improve the network’s coverage, giving you the freedom to enjoy Internet anywhere uninterruptedly in large areas such as homes, hotels or small offices without worrying about coverage limits.

Wireless N - Speed & Range
Adopting IEEE 802.11n advanced MIMO (Multi Input Multi Output) technology, TL-WA830RE simultaneously works through two antennas to Tx and Rx to overcome the interference and signal degradation when traveling long distances or through physical barriers in a small office or a large apartment, resulting in an incredible improvement in the wireless performance, even in a steel-and-concrete building. Above all, you could easily pick up the wireless network during long-distance connection where legacy 11g products may not!

Incredible Wireless Extension
TL-WA830RE is designed to select “Range Extender” as the default wireless mode, working as a “relay station” to repeat the wireless signal flawlessly to longer distance where is previously outside the coverage of the existing wireless network. Due to leading Wireless N technologies, it can overcome obstacles and enhance overall network signal quality, then providing the same reliable network connecting as wired network. Better still, TL-WA830RE can also work in the conventional AP mode, accessing the Internet via ADSL/Cable modem and linking the wireless and wired network together.

One Button for Connection
TL-WA830RE features Range Extender Button that allows users to setup the wireless connection with both unsecured and secure network simply by pressing the "Range Extender" button for about 5 seconds. Especially when connecting to the unsecured network, the whole connection process seems to be a snap for any users in that all you need is just a push of a button and a few seconds’ waiting without any extra operation at all!

Full Compatible with 802.11b/g/n Devices
TP-LINK Wireless N Range Extender TL-WA830RE is fully compatible with all IEEE 802.11b/g/n devices, including routers, gateways, access points and adapters. Specifically, it can not only maximize performance with 802.11n products, but also achieve full capacity when linking with 802.11b/g products. Therefore you can make full use of all your existing wireless devices without any replacement cost, and even upgrade your wireless network off to Wireless N age.

WPA / WPA2 Encryptions - Advanced Security
As for the security of Wi-Fi connection, WEP encryption has been no longer the strongest and safest guards for outside threats. TL-WA830RE provides WPA/WPA2 encryptions (Both Personal and Enterprises) that are created by the Wi-Fi Alliance industry group, preventing the wireless network from outside threats.

Easy Setup
Apart from the Range Extender button, the device also comes with an Easy Setup Assistant in the resource CD that leads you through the setup process step-by-step, and even helps with wireless network settings and security configurations, which is convenient to the users, especially for novice users.
