RIYADH (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia’s government has signed deals worth $4.4 billion to develop its housing and construction sectors, the state investment promotion agency said on Thursday. The deals, reached on the sidelines of a major business conference in Riyadh, include an agreement by U.S.-based construction company Katerra to help a Saudi housing aid program to use modern building methods. Sports Direct (SPD.L), the British sportswear retailer controlled by Ashley, snapped up House of Fraser and its 58 stores from administrators for 90 million pounds ($116 million) in August. House of Fraser’s collapse followed months of upheaval at the company, falling sales and a now-abandoned restructuring plan that would have seen nearly half of its stores close.
